Production Technician (Blending Tower Operator)

Continental - Winchester has a great career opportunity for a Blending Tower Operator in the Artificial Leather department. This position will be on the night shift crew with ability to work dayshift as needed for training.

• Responsible for Blending/Mixing of bulk quantities in preparation for production
• Responsible for timely management of Blending/Mixing schedules in coordination with production demands
• Responsible for completing certified OSHA forklift training and safely operating forklifts
• Ability to operate computer for data entry
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Expected to keep work area organized and orderly and make sure that production part, tools, test equipment and documentation are properly stored and maintained
• Responsible for inspections of products or processes through means of measurements and weights to evaluate quality or performance
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

This is a night shift position and requires ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications:
• Ability to follow directions and measurements for compounding formulas
• Requires a strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and write English
• Requires use of a respirator
• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers while maintaining a professional attitude
• Must be able to effectively multi task
• Must be able to work in a team environment and independently on tasks as needed by production

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
