System Engineer (Radar System Architect) - ADAS TSR

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems provide drivers active safety support by identifying potentially hazardous situations in advance and helping to avoid them. We are developing innovative intelligent sensors based on the newest radar, camera and laser technologies in automotive electronics.
Our intelligent sensors provide functions such as: Emergency Brake Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Support, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Pedestrian Detection.

Main Tasks:
  • Definition of HW architecture of radar sensor;
  • Definition of the power up/down HW behavior;
  • Definition of the operating modes and transition states between them;
  • Definition of measured data output (which data, via which interface, time – derived requirements for HW and SW);
  • Resource consumption/ optimization (RAM, ROM);
  • Definition of Radar Data Interfaces;
  • Definition of interfaces to a simulation environment (HW in the loop HIL) in HW and SW;
  • Definition and technical direction in the development of prototypes;
  • Responsibility for the preparation of a technical data sheet;
  • Contribute as a technical expert in system FMEA and functional safety analysis;
  • BOM cost responsibility.

  • Assists in post-implementation continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality;
  • Identifies and when necessary, proposes variances to the architecture to accommodate project needs;
  • Support architecture implementation and modification activities – application projects;
  • Attending to detail to ensure safety and legality;
  • Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities;
  • Keeping up in the industry in response to new technology, best practices and changes.

    You will have a mentor throughout the integration period that will help you integrate into the organization and guide you towards taking on your own responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge of signal processing and in RF technology;
  • Programming experience in MATLAB or similar tools;
  • Experience in the design of automotive electronics > 2 years experience;
  • Desirable Radar technology experience;
  • Master’s degree in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or computer science;
  • Desirable Professional software design methods, FMEA methodology, functional safety, mass production for electronic products;
  • Structured problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, very good math skills, visionary thinking and assertiveness;
