Located in Warsaw, Poland, you will be working as member of our well-established Corporate Compliance Team with colleagues mainly based in Ludwigshafen/Germany. You are operationally reporting to a senior member of the Corporate Compliance team. Your administrative supervisor will be the Head of Legal & Compliance Poland.Our Corporate Compliance department is part of BASF’s Corporate Legal, Compliance & Insurance Division. Supporting the implementation, monitoring and enhancement of the BASF Compliance Management System and the associated processes and documentation at a group-level of the BASF organizationo Identification and management of compliance risks, including supporting risk assessment dialogs with organizational units and group companies of the global BASF organizationo Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of internal compliance controlso Supporting the compliance effectiveness monitoring across BASF Groupo Managing and advising on matters related to certain compliance areas (based on personal experience and expertise, e.g., data privacy)o Other project and support tasks within the area of compliance & integrity, which may include tasks in the following areas:• Compliance case management including conducting investigations if needed• Supporting compliance awareness measures and trainings and compliance community management• Advising employees and departments on compliance and integrity matters• Support the review and drafting of internal policies and procedures
o At least Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related degreeo Min. 2 years of professional experience in a compliance department, consulting firm with a focus on compliance/forensics, risk management department, audit department or comparableo Additional professional training/qualifications or relevant regulatory experience (e.g. data privacy) is a pluso High motivation for integrity matterso Fluent English (both written and spoken), including knowledge of compliance-related terminologyo Excellent interpersonal skills, being a team player with a collaborative work style, and possessing strong communication and listening skillso Strong analytical skills and creativity to facilitate investigation of the facts of a compliance caseo Excellent understanding of risk and compliance principles and frameworkso Strong business acumen and ability to understand the impact of regulatory requirements and internal processes on the businesso Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines effectively
As a Compliance Specialist you will be responsible to support BASF’s Corporate Compliance Team in the implementation, monitoring and enhancement of the BASF Compliance Program.
