MAN Truck & Bus SE has a vacancy, for an immediate start, at its München site within the IT division for the position of "Data Governance Officer".

At MAN Truck & Bus we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Officer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our Data Governance and Management journey and help build to create a performant and scalable framework for the future. Joining our team will provide you with exciting opportunities to work on Data Governance & Management projects and collaborate with global partners and our international development teams. Your tasks

 

Champion Business Data Alignment

  • Align Data Governance with the business goals and priorities, as well as other D&A initiatives.

  • Collaborate with organization’s leadership to support business needs with data capabilities and processes.

  • Interact with peers from other Traton Brands on Data Governance topics.

  • Ensure appropriate representation and participation in Data Governance across the business.

  • Ensure requirements are communicated to D&A Architecture Lead.

  • Solicit feedback from data users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and measure satisfaction with data governance services.

 

Strategic Leadership & Direction

  • Lead and guide the Data Governance Organization to achieve desired business results.

  • Accelerate the adoption of industry best practices and standards in data governance.

  • Oversee data governance awareness programs and training initiatives across the organization and evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Ensure effective controls by monitoring metrics and driving performance through improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate and facilitate resolution of Data Governance issues.

  • Attend Data Governance Council meetings. Assess the outcomes of the Council’s decisions and initiatives.

  • Allocate budget and resources based on business and data priorities.

 

Strategy

  • Own and deliver on Data Governance strategy and overall objectives.

  • Ensure the Data Governance program results in enterprise and functional benefits.

  • Develop and maintain Data Governance Maturity Framework and execute periodic assessments of Data Governance & Data Management components e.g., Data Catalog, Data Domain Model, Data Ownership, Clean Data Layer.

 

 

Your qualification

 

  • Proven track record (min. 4 years) in a similar role with a focus on designing and implementing data governance frameworks, processes, operating model, and artifacts.

  • Strategic view of how high performing data management and data governance enable business goals.

  • Strong advocate for Data Governance.

  • Understanding of D&A Architecture.

  • Understanding the uses of data across business units and corporate services.

  • Effective communicator.

  • Ability to use influence to ensure involvement and alignment.

  • Strong change agent.
