Insurance Lawyer Claims Manager (all genders)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Active claims management of industrial claims in the areas of liability, property, and C/EAR
Definition and alignment of strategies for major losses
Claims negotiations with international industrial insurers, claimants, and Bayer entities
Coordination and management of service providers such as loss adjusters, external lawyers, etc.
Advisory and support services for affected business units and Bayer entities worldwide
Monitoring of ongoing claims
Reporting to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Board of Management, reinsurers, etc.)

YOUR PROFILE

Completed degree in Law
Experience with an international insurer, broker, or corporation in the field of industrial claims handling
Pragmatic and business-oriented way of working and thinking, i.e., a practical, solution-focused approach rather than a strong emphasis on academic details
Enjoyment of working independently combined with strong negotiation skills
Curiosity and willingness to familiarize oneself with new topics and insurance lines
Methodological competence (e.g., problem-solving and presentation techniques) as well as activity and action skills (e.g., motivation for performance, flexibility)
Strong social skills and service orientation, combined with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong affinity for IT as well as interest in current technological developments – particularly in the field of artificial intelligence – and motivation to actively integrate these into daily work
Very good knowledge of MS Office 365 applications
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
