ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Global Logistics Operations (GLO) team at Bayer is the nerve center of our global logistics network. Besides supplying thousands of vitally important drugs to our patients and consumers every day, the team is also responsible for constantly improving how we operate. The responsibility of the team ranges from managing orders, ensuring seamless international trade to handling the complex challenges of turbulent transport markets.
In our state of the art control tower, our team is monitoring and steering the international transportation flows together with our 4PL partners, making sure goods are flowing without interruptions.
YOUR TASKS AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
- Support on Global Logistics Operations projects
- Assist in the measurement of department metrics and performance evaluation
- Help in the identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Contribute to driving Sustainability Initiatives within Global Logistics Operations
- Support day-to-day business operations as required
WHO YOU ARE
- Ongoing Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field
- Experience in project management in an international environment is desirable
- Interest and initial professional experience in supply chain management, transport, and warehousing
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office package (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint); further knowledge of analysis and visualization tools would be an advantage
- Ability to work creatively, analytically, and in a structured manner
- Strong communication skills and interest in working with international colleagues from a wide range of functions and disciplines
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
