During the internship, you will have the opportunity to prepare for your career start and gain
experience in all aspects of aircraft, e.g. in the areas of material analysis, strategy, product and project management, logistics, lean management and research and development.

  • Day-to-day operations of Laboratory Services at Lufthansa Technik AG
  • Development of modern laboratory analytics for fuel quality in flight operations
  • Further development of the analysis of aircraft system filters
  • Identification of microbial contamination and biofilms
  • Fluid dynamic evaluation and simulation

Laboratory operation

Broad spectrum of aviation laboratory analytics.

Debris analytics

Particle analysis from the fuel system.

Filter analytics

Investigation of the various contaminants in fuel filters.

Fluid analytics

2-phase sample in the investigation.

At the time of the internship at least in the third semester of a degree course in biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, other engineering and natural sciences or comparable courses of study.

  • Enrollment for the entire period of the internship (current enrollment certificate and written proof of mandatory internship must be included with the application) or internship between the Bachelor's and Master's degree program (gap year)
  • Ability to convincingly process and present complex contexts - Teamwork and communication skills
  • Confident handling of the common MS Office programs (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Very good written and spoken German & English skills
