We are looking for an experienced IT SME/Product Specialist with deep expertise in Securities Back Office operations in the German market. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Securities Settlement, Withholding Taxes, Corporate Actions, Custody and Booking processes, as well as hands-on experience in IT solution design supporting these domains. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing IT solutions for post-trade securities processing while ensuring compliance with German regulations.

What you can expect from us

IT Business Expertise in Securities Back Office:
• Provide subject matter expertise in securities settlement / back office processes
• Act as a bridge between IT teams and business users, translating regulatory and operational requirements into IT solutions.
• Define functional requirements for securities processing platforms and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Support the enhancement and automation of booking, settlement, and reconciliation workflows.
• Oversee IT system enhancements for automated integration with market infrastructures.
• Provide expertise on corporate action processing (voluntary & mandatory events), ensuring accurate bookings and entitlements.

IT Solution Design:
• Contribute to IT projects in the framework of securities settlement (e.g. integration of a new back office platform)
• Define system workflows for securities back-office platforms.
• Analyze Business requirements & existing applications and translate this into detailed functional specification.
• Work closely with Business and development teams to implement new features, APIs, and automation.
• Ensure seamless integration with external systems, custodians, and regulatory bodies.
• Support testing, UAT, and go-live and post go-live phases for securities processing systems.

What we expect from you

• 10+ years of experience in IT Business for Securities Back Office, with expertise in the German market.
• Deep understanding of Securities Settlements process, withholding tax processing, corporate actions, booking, reconciliation, and custody operations.
• Proficiency in agile software development, SQL, data analysis, and automation tools (e.g. Scrum, Java, Jira, Confluence, Python or similar is a plus).
• Understanding of IT cloud based technologies and their specific integration requirements
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with IT, operations, compliance, and external service provider.
• Fluent in English and German
