As a valued member of Bishop Quality team, you will report to the QC Supervisor. You will be responsible for timely analysis of raw materials, in-process streams and finished products to verify conformity to specifications.  You will utilize analytical techniques such as gas and liquid chromatography (GC, HPLC), inductively-couple plasma optical emission (ICP-OES) and particle size analysis by laser diffraction to generate and document data in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.  

During your 10-hour day-shift as a Quality Control Technician, you will

 

  • Leverage your laboratory experience in a regulated environment and working as part of the Quality Control team to meet department goals and deliverables, you will provide timely and accurate sample measurements for quality testing with a strong safety mindset.
  • Exemplify positive work habits (time management, prioritization and stewardship); you will conduct analyses per written procedures, as well as FDA and ISO requirements. 
  • Maintain analytical equipment in proper working order; assemble and disassemble test equipment as needed for troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
  • Communicate analytical results and concerns, as necessary, to enable good decision making
  • Perform tasks that enable the success of the entire laboratory team such as solution preparation, calibrations, and general housekeeping in the laboratory.

If you...

 

  • Hold an associate's degree with a minimum of 6 months lab experience OR a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years chemical laboratory experience. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is a plus.
  • Have experience with laboratory equipment and tests; knowledge of standard chemical laboratory practices and analytical techniques. Experience in validation of analytical methods to ensure reproducibility is a plus. 
  • Preferrably have 2 years of lab experience in an FDA or ISO regulated environment, and good understanding of ISO, cGMP and FDA guidelines
  • Are able to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work shift schedules, including holidays, weekends and overtime, as required.
  • Possess good troubleshooting; attention to detail, and problem-solving skills; self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
