Area:

At BASF, our Finance Order-to-Cash (F-O2C) team is essential to ensuring efficiency and reliability in the financial management of our operations in the Americas. From our Hub in Montevideo, we cover the processes from the moment of sale to the moment of customer payment, and we are responsible for key areas such as treasury and cash management, accounts receivable, collections management, credit management, intercompany reconciliation, and master data for customers and suppliers. Our goal is to maintain strong and agile processes, minimize financial and operational risks, and promote continuous innovation through the digitalization and automation of tasks.

 

Main Objective of the Position:

Execute collection activity and reconciliation of accounts of third-party customers and/or regions with low or medium complexity in a timely manner; and seek improvements in these processes as necessary

 

Main Tasks:

  • To contact customers through different communication channels (e.g., emails, calls, WhatsApp); send updated account statements to low and  medium complexity customers and responsible sales teams
  • To send necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure that received payments are applied; and also keep customer information updated in the Collection tool (Get Paid)
  • To communicate with the respective team about discrepancies reported by the customer related to billing
  • Participate in ad hoc meetings with clients and business
  • Comply with processes stipulated in guidelines
  • Assist in the analysis, preparation and documentation of Internal and External Audits.
  • Take part in medium-sized projects with focal point support.
  • Responsible for monitoring KPIs such as Overdue and DSO for the assigned portfolio of low complexity businesses, providing explanations upon request.

 

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

  • Education: Advanced student or graduate of Accountant or Business Administration, International Relations, Communication or related fields
  • Working Experience: 3 to 5 years in customer service. Experience in collections will be highly valued.
  • Language skills: Advanced English is mandatory. Portuguese is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Solid knowledge with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel and SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Effective communication, strong attention to detail, critical thinking and collaborative teamwork.
