Technical Support Engineer - Level 1

We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer to support aircraft component repair and overhaul at LTLGS. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll provide technical documentation, process development, and configuration support to ensure efficient and compliant production. You’ll also contribute to new product introduction and continuous improvement projects.

The key responsibilities and duties of the Technical Support Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the repair and overhaul of aircraft components in line with procedures and airworthiness regulations.
  • Provide technical support to Operations, including process development, tooling info, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory and OEM requirements, keeping data accurate and up to date.
  • Manage and gain approval for deviations from standard data where required.
  • Assist in technical investigations and implement improvement actions.
  • Support the development of new capabilities, equipment, and training.
  • Contribute to new process development in areas like NDT, machining, and plating.
  • Maintain and update production data in SAP, including task lists and technical documents.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company regulations.

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical) preferred; HND or equivalent experience also considered
  • Training in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or SPC is a plus
  • Entry-level role; industry experience is helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes essential
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret technical data
  • Awareness of airworthiness standards (EASA, FAA) is beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); quick to learn new systems
  • CAD experience (preferably SolidWorks) is an asset

Salary: up to £ 34078.69
